Gambling Man

My notes

Masayoshi Son has led an interesting life, both for the impact he has had and for the number of companies and stories he features in. The book is full of anecdotes from the early days of the internet, with Yahoo Japan and Alibaba, about his relationship with Steve Jobs, and about later bets such as WeWork and his interest in artificial intelligence. I enjoyed learning about these stories and the role he played in them, but the book is far too long: it could have told the same story in half the pages.
