Dale CarnegieA collection of tips for getting along and getting people to listen to you told through anecdotes and stories, useful in real life.
👍🏼👍🏼⭐️ExcellentFactfulness
Hans Rosling, Ola Rosling y Anna Rosling RönnlundOne of the books that has helped me the most to understand the world through data and to distrust many of the intuitions we take for granted. It explains how our vision is often far more pessimistic than reality and how biases, headlines and our way of thinking make us misinterpret progress. An important book for making better decisions and looking at the world more rigorously.
👍🏼👍🏼Very goodObjections
Jeb BlountOne of the best-selling books I've ever read. Good for selling but also for everyday life situations. It deals with a seller's fears, both psychologically and practically. It has been very helpful to me in losing several fears related to this.
👍🏼👍🏼⭐️ExcellentThe elephant in the brain
Kevin Simler, Robin HansonI loved this book, which explains how we deceive ourselves to achieve our goals and how everything we do is based on hidden motives.
👍🏼👍🏼⭐️ExcellentCows, Pigs, Wars, and Witches
Marvin HarrisAn anthropology book about customs and beliefs that, viewed from the outside, may seem completely illogical. Harris attempts to explain how many arose as rational responses to material conditions of his time. It's one of those books that makes you look at any human habit and wonder what problem it was trying to solve in the first place.
👍🏼👍🏼Very goodThe Undoing Project
Michael LewisMichael Lewis is a very entertaining account of the friendship and work of Daniel Kahneman and Amos Tversky, and how they ended up demonstrating all the ways that our brains cheat and make bad decisions.
👍🏼👍🏼Very goodHooked
Nir EyalOne of the product books that has helped me the most to understand how habits are created around an app or service and why some products keep us coming back.
👍🏼👍🏼⭐️ExcellentShooting Stars: Ten Historical Miniatures
Stefan ZweigOne of my favorite books in the universe. Probably the book I've read the most with The Count of Monte Cristo. Zweig brings together specific moments that ended up changing the course of history. I love it because it shows that history also depends on accidents, mistakes, obsessions and people who arrive a few minutes late.
